Veritaseum builds blockchain-based, peer-to-peer capital markets as software on a global scale to connect parties and assets without the need of third parties.
How to buy Veritaseum
There are several ways to buy Veritaseum. In this guide we will focus on how to buy Veritaseum using the decentralized exchange of 1inch along with your Metamask wallet.
Download your Metamask Wallet:
You can download your Metamask Wallet extensions from Google Chrome or from Firefox browsers. After downloading it, make sure you write down your seed phrase and keep it in a secure place. You are going to need your seed phrase for setting up your wallet, and you will also need it in case you lose access to the computer or phone where you downloaded Metamask if you want to regain access to it on another device,
Buy Ethereum on your preferred exchange:
You’re going to need to buy Ethereum on any exchange of your preference, like Coinbase, Binance or Kraken, or any other exchange that trades Ethereum.
Send your Ethereum to your Metamask Wallet:
Make sure you are connected to the Ethereum Mainnet on your Metamask; then send your Ethereum to your Metamask Wallet address.
Add the Veritaseum token your Metamask Wallet:
First, go to etherscan.io website and on the search bar type VERI. Select Veritaseum (VERI) from the dropdown list.
On the Profile Summary block, you will see the Contract address and the Decimals. You will use this information to add the VERI token on your Metamask in the next step.
Now, scroll all the way down on your Metamask wallet and click on Import tokens. Next, add the Custom token. Add the Veritaseum contract address, Token Symbol, and Token decimal on the respective fields, and click on Add custom token; then click on Import tokens. You should see now the VERI token added on your Assets list.
Connect Metamask wallet to 1inch app on your browser:
Launch the 1inch.io app on your browser and click the Connect wallet button on the top right on the page. You will see your wallet address connected to the 1inch exchange.
Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, choose your network, in this case Ethereum, and choose Metamask wallet. After this step, you will see your wallet address connected to the 1inch exchange.
On the “You sell” box, you will choose ETH, and on the “You buy” box, click the pre-selected coin, and on the Search field, type VERI. If the token doesn’t appear on the dropdown list, then you will have to paste the Veritaseum contract address that you used when you added the token to your Metamask wallet. The VERI token should now be visible; click on it to proceed.
Now click on Swap. Your Metamask wallet should pop up next to sign the transaction. After you sign the transaction, you will need to click the Confirm swap button on 1inch. Next, you will need to Confirm on Metamask. The information will be sent to the network to swap the ETH for VERI. You can track the progress of the transaction by clicking the View on Etherscan button. You should see the VERI token balance available on your Metamask wallet after some time. The time for the transaction varies depending on how congested the network is.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Residents and citizens of the United States are not allowed to use the 1inch exchange due to regulations.
